Red Panda

 


Red Panda is one of the most beautiful creatures. It's scientific name is Ailurus fulgens. It is found in the Himalayan region of Nepal at an altitude of 2200m to 4800m. The red panda has reddish brown fur, a long shaggy tail, and a wadding gait due to its shorter front legs. It is roughly the size of a domestic cat, though with a longer body. The name "Red Panda" has been taken from the Nepali word "Nigalya Ponya or Habre" which means the Bamboo eater. Its length ranges from 93cm to 100cm whereas its weight ranges from 4kg to 6kg. Red Panda are good climber so it also eat small birds, flowers, berries, fruits and other seasonal fruits.
