A short reflection of Leadership camp by Mr. Sujit Prasad Kushwaha

Pokhara Access (Group B)

I was very excited to attend the intensive camp organized by NELTA and supported by U.S. Embassy, Nepal. Before the camp I was well prepared for the camp. First, I would also like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to Access Jhapa for the accident. On 2nd May 2018, we reached the venue on time and after having rest we went in camp hall. After having introduction with each other we made group cheer’s which was “We are lovely, we are Rose, and we are here to have winning pose”.

Next day, we got up early in the morning and did all the activities and at around 7:00 o’clock we went in yoga session and our yoga guru taught the ways of being healthy and active. We did not only learn theoretically but also practically. Similarly, we took participation in various sessions. Some of them are –Culture and Traditions, Time Management, Creativity on Technology based by Matthew Nelson, Making Writing Robot, Interaction with Access Alumni, Board game, Poem making, ways of writing Autobiography and biography and many others. In time management session, we learnt the ways of managing time and the importance of utilizing time. In field trip, we visited Fewa Lake, Gupteshwor Cave, Davi’s fall and International Museum. In those sessions we enjoyed a lot and knew about historical things in Museum. We also learnt the ways of writing poem by Mrs. Sarita Dewan and of writing Biography and Autobiography by Motikala Subba. We performed drama on the topic “No More Corruption” theme was “Taking and giving the bribe is the great enemy of the nation”

Despite this, the main session that I liked was the session held by Mr. Matthew Nelson. It was based on using technology to create animation and he told some of the ways of using it. He also told how he learned using such software for animation. Some of the software told by him is Scratch, Sonic Pi and Blender. As I am Interested in learning about ways of using new technology the ideas given by him really inspired me. Today I am using such software for the creation of new animation. And I have created some animation with his inspiration, and I have kept that animation in my YouTube channel (Sujit Kushwaha).

                                           Thanking all!
